BLACK & WHITE FILM
Besides digital colour photography I also document weddings using traditional black and white film. Black and White photography is something that will never go out of style. Lack of colour forces you to look deeper into a photograph; into the light and shadow, expressions and raw emotions and I believe that gives photos a unique quality. Black and white photographs brings value and really allows you to feel connected to the image.
There is something so uniquely special about being able to pull out a family photo album and rejoice in old memories. The images capture us for the rest of our lives, and take us back to precious moments long after they have gone. These days, the pleasant pastime of pictures in hand, being passed to love ones with cups of tea is vanishing; lost to the fleeting nature of social media sharing, stored on a computer never to be seen on a shelf by our friends and family.
I believe that your wedding photos are too special to not be seen for years to come, so my bespoke photo albums are individually designed and made by hand for each wedding. Albums come as standard in a box as a 12 inch by 12 inch square, 120 pages printed onto high quality art paper. I pay special attention to editing your photos to guarantee premium quality once printed, and every page perfectly designed to tell your story throughout your special day.
Your selected photographs are printed on museum quality baryta paper and framed in handmade black wooden frames; perfect for showing off strong photographic prints. Fine Art Baryta is a pure white paper with excellent black density, contrast and reproduction of detail. The perfect paper for high contrast images and vivid colours. The Baryta base creates whiter whites and deeper blacks whilst the silky smooth reflective coating enhances the detail and definition of the images, making this paper a close match to traditional photographic Fibre Based papers.

How do we book you?
Easy! If your wedding date is still available, a non refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding date. This amount is deducted from the final balance and guarantees your wedding date. Addition to that we both sign the contract. It is advisable to pay the deposit as soon as you make your final decision because I shoot a limited amount of weddings per year and dates can fill out very quickly.
Where are you based?
I am living between two amazing cities London, UK and Zagreb, Croatia. I am constantly on the road, shooting weddings all over the country. So it is worth asking where I am around the time of your wedding. You never know, I might be in your area!
Do you charge a travel fee for destination weddings?
Yes, I will provide you with a travel quote and all travel arrangements are booked by me. The travel fee is generally the cost of my flights, 3 nights accommodation and car rental if needed.
When do we get to see our photos?
I will have the collection of photographs ready for you 6-8 weeks after your wedding date, however, you might get your photos sooner. Each image is individually edited with great care not something to be rushed
How many weddings do you cover per week?
Most of the weddings last 10-12 hours, not 8. In order to stay fresh, inspired and give you my all I shoot a single wedding per weekend and only 25 per year.
Do you shoot on film?
I love to shoot with the film. I have a deep affinity with shooting film. I grow up with black and white film and I still use it for all my personal projects. I love seeing that image appear through the chemistry and smelling the dark room chemicals. I can shoot your wedding with the film upon request.
Do you make wedding albums?
Yes, I do! Each book is custom designed and handmade for each of my clients.
Can we order prints through you?
Yes, I have a client proofing website where you or your family and friends can order prints from. You can also take care of your own printing if you wish, but sometimes it’s easier on you to get family & friends to order through my website.
Do you work with second shooters/assistants?
I work on my own and with second photographers depending on the details and size of the wedding. Generally as rule, weddings with a guest count over 150 guests I would recommend a second photographer, for less than, I feel confident photographing on my own. But I will be able to give you my recommendation given your exact plans for your wedding. For elopements & small weddings, I work on my own.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, of course. If your venue requests a certificate, please let me know so I can arrange it.
Do you have backup gear?
Of course, lots of it
Can you help us with our timeline so we allow the right amount of time for photos etc?
Yes, I will send you timeline questioner few weeks before your wedding. If you need any help or suggestions feel free to reach out to me anytime.
What kind of cameras do you shoot with?
I shoot primarily with Nikon DSLR’s and also with old school film cameras.
What will you wear?
In my daily life you will see me in jeans and checkered shirt, or just simple plain tees with Vans shoes, but on the wedding day, I dress the part. Usually smart black pants and a tailored shirt. If you have a special preference do let me know and I will see what can be done.
When do we take couples photos?
I usually require 1 hour of your time, preferably within the golden hour. The golden hour is the time of the day when the light is most beautiful and is defined by one hour before sunset. I understand that schedule sometimes doesn’t allow that much time to be taken at once, so we can split this in two. Most of the time it comes as a relief to step back from the wedding party and take some time for yourself.
Can we find out more about you?
Sure! If we haven’t already met we can meet up in person or catch up on Skype and get to know each other, I’d like that a lot. It’s much easier to have a photographer you already know, not an anonymous person you hired over the internet. Simply click on CONTACT button below and send me a message.
